Stephanie lives in Calgary with her husband and three children, ages 6, 4 and 2. As a business graduate and entrepreneur, becoming a Montessori guide wasn't on her radar until the pandemic, when she found herself at home with her 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son. Wanting to better understand their developmental needs, she completed the Primary Guide (ages 3-6) training through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) before the birth of her third child. Soon after she started a Montessori-inspired dayhome, which she ran for 2 years, before the opportunity opened up for her to join as an assistant at CMS. While a Montessori classroom environment is somewhat different than a Montessori home environment, the foundation that caused her to fall in love with and deeply respect the Montessori way remains the same; follow the child. When not teaching, you'll find Stephanie on the bike paths riding her e-bike, with or without kids, pretty much anywhere she needs to go.
