Originally from a small town in Northern Ontario, Sam is thrilled to have recently made the move to Calgary to become part of the team at CMS. Ms. Chappell received her BA in psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa to pursue her interest in human development. She was then drawn to an opportunity to teach English at a kindergarten in South Korea for one year. It was this experience abroad that sparked her interest in working with young children in the field of education. After returning to Canada, Ms. Chappell went on to complete a Bachelor degree of Education at Queens University in Kingston, ON. She was introduced to the Montessori philosophy during her time studying at Queens and became incredibly passionate about this method. Ms.Chappell went on to receive an AMI Primary diploma from the Foundation for Montessori Education in Toronto in 2015. She moved to Brooklyn, New York to begin her career as a Montessori guide, teaching ages 3 to 6 in a new school for two years. Ms. Chappell loves to travel the world or spend time in the woods camping and hiking. As an outdoor enthusiast, she is very excited to explore the mountains of the west.
