Sally Guzzardi

Primary Guide
Sally was born in Ireland, which is where she received all of her education, including post secondary. She has lived and worked in the United States and upon her marriage in 1989, she moved to Calgary. Back in Ireland she saw a BBC documentary about the Montessori Method of Education and was incredibly impressed; in 1990, whilst continuing to research the Montessori method, she decided to make a career change and took the St. Nicholas Montessori Certification in London, England. She has taught at The Calgary Montessori School ever since. Sally attends refresher courses frequently and voraciously reads all literature pertaining to Montessori Education and child development. She has one son who attended Calgary Montessori School. Sally enjoys travelling, hiking and is involved with volunteering in various capacities in her community. “Our aim is not merely to make the child understand and still less to force him to memorize, but to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his innermost core.” - Maria Montessori
